To keep up to date with any changes including opening hours and news, be sure to follow our Facebook page.

Message from the Practice Manager

2025 has been a year of change and growth for us. We farewelled Jan, our much-loved nurse of 24 years, as well as Dr Ash and his family as they relocated. These changes have been big, and we truly appreciate your patience and understanding as we navigate them.

Please be assured that we have heard your feedback and are working hard to ensure you continue to receive the high standard of care you expect from us. As we head into 2026, our focus is on strengthening our services and ensuring our refreshed team delivers the care and connection you value.

We’re excited to share some good news: we now have two permanent nurses, Susan Williamson and Robyn Styles, who bring extensive experience and a passion for patient care. They are excited about working together to offer you, our patients, great service and support with your health.

We are also strengthening our GP team:

  • Dr Paul Johns, who you may know as our locum doctor over the last 18 months, becomes our permanent Friday GP from 12 December

  • Dr Sahar will be available Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays through January, then Mondays and Tuesdays from February onward

  • Dr Charles Tsang, already familiar to some of you, will provide cover during December and January.

Thank you for your ongoing support – it means so much to us as we build a strong, dedicated team committed to delivering the highest quality of care.

On behalf of our team, we wish you a wonderful Christmas. As we enter the New Year, may you feel refreshed and ready to embrace all that 2026 will bring.

Joanne Hall Practice Manager

Christmas closedown hours

We’ll be closed from 12pm Wednesday 24 December, and will reopen from Monday, 5 January 2026. During this time, if you need healthcare support, please call our regular phone line (09 413 8562) for options. You can also call Healthline for advice on 0800 611 116.

From Monday, 5 January we can offer you video and phone consults with your regular GP at standard rates, should you need any care but can't see your doctor in person. If you are after an online appointment with a GP while we are closed, please check below for our special Christmas offer with CareHQ, where you can access virtual appointments with a GP for a subsidised rate.

In an emergency, please call 111. To find your nearest urgent care clinic, search on Healthpoint.

Repeat prescriptions

To ensure that you have enough of your usual medication over the holiday period, please check now that you have enough to last from 19 December 2025 to 11 January 2026.

If you are likely to run out of any of your medication during this time, then please request a repeat script via MyIndici, or call us now on 09 413 852 to organise a repeat prescription ahead of time - this must be done by Tuesday 16 December.

You can order prescriptions via MyIndici, or call us on 09 413 8562 – we’re happy to help.

Book to see a GP online over the holiday break

If you are unwell over the summer break and need to see a doctor, you have the option of a virtual appointment with a doctor through CareHQ. CareHQ is available to patients year-round from 7am-10pm, 7 days a week including public holidays.

From 25 December 2025, through to 2 January 2026, there will be a special offer.

During this period, the cost of a standard 15-minute appointment will be:

  • Children - Free

  • Youth (14-17 years) (CSC) - Free

  • Youth (14-17 years) (standard) - $25

  • Adult (18+) (CSC) - $3

  • Adult (18+) (standard) - $50.

These fees are subsidised over this period thanks to special funding from ProCare.

To see a doctor online, all you need is a computer or smart phone. Open your MyIndici patient portal online or smartphone app, click "Book Appointment" and scroll down until you see 'Other Telemedicine Consultation Services', and click on CareHQ. Select a GP 15 minute appointment, either CSC or non-CSC and ‘continue’. From here you will be asked to enter some standard details before confirming and making payment.

If you have not yet registered for the MyIndici patient portal, you can do so here. Please note, you will be required to enter your Community Services Card number for CSC appointments.

Once you book an appointment, you will receive email and text reminders, including a secure link which you click on just before your appointment to be connected to the doctor. If you need a prescription or tests, this can be arranged for you during your online appointment and then sent to the appropriate pharmacy or testing centre.

You will receive a text message or email 15-minutes prior to your appointment, with a video link to start the virtual appointment. If you have unreliable wi-fi, not enough data, or do not start your virtual appointment, your GP may call you for a phone consult instead.

Please note, virtual consults are suitable for most medical needs, sicknesses or injuries, from common colds, urine infections, migraines and repeat scripts for your pharmacy, through to acne and health counselling. As standard, if you have a medical emergency such as severe pain, collapse, or shortness of breath, please call 111 immediately.

January hours

We will be closed for appointments at the practice on Friday 9 January, and Friday 16 January 2026. If you need to see a GP on these days, you still can do so virtually via CareHQ for standard appointment rates.

We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.
